Three months upon launch of the Women and Mozilla initiative, we have gathered enough women who committed to be part of the Philippine WoMoz team! The 17th of August was a stormy Saturday but that definitely didn’t hinder the team from having its first meeting to lay down the plans for this initiative.
Because we are basically going to work hand-in-hand in this project all throughout, we made sure to start with our personal introductions. The team is not all-girls and not everyone is in the IT field. Talk about unity in diversity!
I gave a very short overview on Mozilla and the Mozilla Philippines Community. We discussed our roles as volunteers and talked about MozPH’s milestones and events.
As we were discussing possible events of the team, we of course talked about Firefox OS.

In this meeting, the team has formed its initial line-up of events and we are working on the details. Hoping the team would gather more members especially through our events!
