In January this year, we declared that Thursdays of 2016 shall be known as “L10n Thursday” aiming to promote awareness on how to participate with the localization efforts of the Mozilla Philippines Community.
Anent to that announcement, “L10n Thursday” will resume on the 28th of this month and will go on with all Thursdays of May 2016.
So, what exactly is L10n Thursday?
- L10n Thursday is a weekly event from 1500H to 2100H MNL time. No RSVP needed. Just show up at the Mozilla Community Space Manila or join via Vidyo or Google Hangouts.
- Localizers (old and new) are welcome to participate either in-person or virtually during the said time frame every Thursday.
- Participation in-person means that a Localizer will be at the Mozilla Community Space Manila. Virtual participation is done via Vidyo or Google Hangouts. This is your chance to ask L10n-related questions with your fellow Localizers.
- Localizers are encouraged to double the effort in translating Mozilla products during L10 Thursdays.
- Ultimate goal of L10n Thursday is finish and ship Firefox in Tagalog just in time for the Buwan ng Wika (Language Month) come August 2016.
