Cebu City, also known as Queen City of the South (some 500 kilometers south of Manila) is considered to be the next most progressive city in the country (after Mega Manila).

The leadership of the Mozilla Philippines Community, headed by its Community Manager Eusebio “Jun” Barrun, Jr. and nine (09) other Mozilla Reps had an intensive overnight planning session at Makati City during the weekend of 04-05 Jan 2014.

It was a Friday night when the Mozilla Philippines Community organized a fun and educating webmaking event at Maker Party Valero last Sept. 6, 2013!
Thank you Globe Labs for sponsoring our venue for that night!
 
The event had a good attendance despite being held on a Friday night. A good sign which indicates the growing interest on Webmaker here in the Philippines!

To celebrate with the world on this season of webmaking, the Mozilla Philippines Community organized a Maker Party in the Manila University District (U-Belt). It was originally set on August 21st, a national holiday in the middle of the week where students are expected to just curl up in their dorm beds. However, a typhoon hit Manila and it was moved on the next national holiday, August 26th.

Webmaker Party: SCST Edition

The faculty members of Letran-Calamba’s School of Computer Studies and Technology participated in the Hack Jam version of the Webmaker Party. A total of 10 participants were present during the event.
Before the webmaker workshop started our Community Manager, Eusebio Barrun Jr. introduced and gave the overview about Mozilla and the Mozilla Philippines Community.
