Maker Party 2013 Alphaland

The Maker Party season has just started and the Mozilla Philippines Community kicked off the season of Webmaking with an all-girl Maker Party in Makati City! This event is also in support of the Women and Mozilla project.

Mozillian guys were also there to support the event and Mozilla Rep Joell Lapitan gave the girls an idea on how they can use Webmaker tools in learning and teaching about the Web.

We asked the ladies to form groups and work on a simple page using Webmaker tools. The theme was how to promote Women and Mozilla in the Philippines!

The Mozilla Reps decided on the winners for the Webmaking session and awarded them with Mozilla swags!

Ms. Monique and Ms. Ruth won the first prize in our mini-challenge and they got Webmaker and Firefox shirts!

Gian Viterbo of Gadget Pilipinas dropped by to know more about the event. He wrote about it here. Thanks for the support Gian!

And that was the first WoMoz meet-up and first Maker Party in the Philippines for this year! Don’t worry guys, we are cooking Maker Parties for you as well! More photos here.
