August is Language Month (Buwan ng Wika) based on Proclamation 1041 signed by Fidel V. Ramos on 15  January 1997. One way to celebrate the Language Month is to participate in the Localization of Mozilla Products such as Firefox (Aurora), Firefox OS, and Web Parts. Just point your browser to http://mozilla.locamotion.org/tl/ and start submitting your translation suggestions in Tagalog. Tagalog Firefox Translation Marathon 1Q2013

Mozillian Localizers for the Tagalog Firefox Project gathered earlier today (a non-working holiday all throughout the country in celebration of National Day of Valor) at the Highlands Coffee, Alphaland Southgate Tower Mall in Makati City to have a Translation Marathon.
There was around 16 Mozillian Localizers present to the event. Not a bad turnout for a holiday.

Mozilla Campus Tour in Basilan State College

The first MozTour (Mozilla Campus Tour) in Basilan island was a success last January 22, 2013! More than 120 participants from the IT Department attended the event, which was held at the Basilan State College.

It is the last weekend for 2012, but Team Mozilla Philippines is very busy organizing the last Tagalog Firefox Translation Marathon for the year. We are both happy and proud in welcoming to the Philippines Arky, Mozilla’s Community Manager for Localization.
