Nearly two (02) years ago, the Mozilla Philippines Community launched “Alab” as our official mascot during the release party for Mozilla Firefox 4 in Manila.
“Alab” is the Tagalog term for “Flare“, which can simply be translated to “Blaze Up!”

As I was recently appointed Localization Lead for the Firefox Aurora Tagalog translation efforts of the Mozilla Philippines Community. Two (02) weeks ago, I called for a MozCoffee event to all interested individuals to participate in the Tagalog Firefox project.
