MozillaPH Meetup in Cebu City 1Q2014

Cebu City, also known as Queen City of the South (some 500 kilometers south of Manila) is considered to be the next most progressive city in the country (after Mega Manila).

Earlier today, the Mozilla Philippines Community spearheaded by Mozilla Reps Mentor Bob Reyes and Mozilla Reps Faye Tandog & Ryan Ermita hosted an informal meetup of Mozillians and Friends of Mozilla at Red Box Ayala Center Cebu.

Since there were a number of new faces during the meetup, I gave a brief introduction on what Mozilla is and what keeps the local community busy.

Faye gave an introduction to the Women & Mozilla (WoMoz) initiative. First time for the Cebu crowd to hear a talk about WoMoz.

The "shyness" of the meetup attendees were soon gone ... after the 2nd song was played in the videoke machine :-)

Generally, the meetup was a success. So successful that right after the event, we already had an invite for a MozTour and Firefox OS Workshop be conducted to local school in May 2014.

Daghang salamat, Cebu! Until next time.
