The 2015 Game Plan for MozillaPH

Last week, the leaders of the Mozilla Philippines Community conducted our annual planning session for the coming year at MozSpaceMNL. It was different and more intensive than last year as we have a lot of new and exciting things set in 2014 that we aim to grow this year.

Last year, we identified that our experiment on our biggest event yet, Maker Festival Manila 2014, was a huge success opening up partnerships and new activities for the community. We definitely rocked with our education initiatives in 2014.

The announcement of Firefox OS reaching the Philippine shores in the last quarter surely was a way to end the year with a bang and in 2015 we are looking forward to increasing awareness of it even more to entice developers and consumers alike.

We also identified a major improvement area that our team should prioritize in 2015, that is encouraging Filipino participation in Mozilla globally. This is a major culture issue and we aim to address it my customizing participation to adapt to us locally.

Below are our plans on its first version, to be modified again within the month to ensure its feasibility on the rest of the year. We are aiming to finish polishing our specific actions plans and task delegations in a month to set sail on a fresh journey this year.
