Get ready with your App rockets because we’re ready to launch the first Firefox OS Porting Session event in Manila!
We believe that there is a lot of mobile developers out there who are excited to hack on Firefox OS and who want to get their apps on the Firefox Marketplace!
We believe that Firefox OS is the next big thing not just for mobile developers, but also the next billion users that will move from basic phones to an affordable smartphone powered by it!
Firefox OS Porting Session is a half-day event full of awesome hacking, pizzas and coffee! You will have a chance to hack and test your apps on a developer device or get support to finally upload an app in the Firefox Marketplace. Our Mozillian Developer Volunteers are happy to help you.
If you’re a developer who owns at least ONE app available for download on a known mobile platform marketplace (e.g App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store, BlackBerry World) and dedicated enough to port his/her app voluntarily, then we encourage you to join us!
Some reminders before signing up:
- If you don’t have an app from a different marketplace available for download and just wanted to build a Firefox OS app from scratch, please DO NOT sign-up. There will be a separate and dedicated event for building Firefox OS apps from scratch. This event is focused on APP PORTING only.
- We strongly recommend to bring your OWN laptop
- Bring a valid Identification Card (ID)
