PhilGEPS Open Data Procurement Hackathon

Just days ago, PhilGEPS (The Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System) was cited for their efforts to enhance public access to data via the Internet by the Department of Budget Management (DBM). It is in this thrust that our community supports the endeavors of PhilGEPS.

Earlier today, the 2-day Open Data Procurement Hackathon came to a close. The event was participated by more than a hundred developers from all over the country. Judging the entries were top-notched industry practitioners and luminaries from concerned sectors of the government.

This was the 2nd #KabantayNgBayan hackathon focused on Philippine Procurement. Following the success of the first #KabantayNgBayan Hackathon on making the national budget transparent and accessible to citizens, the #KabantayNgBayan: Procurement Hackathon aims to make government contracts more open.
