Mozilla Firefox 4 is Here!

Mozilla Firefox 4 is officially live!

After several months in Beta and a few weeks in RC, the latest version of the Philippines’ #1 browser is released with much fanfare all over the globe. Firefox fans are getting together online and offline to mark this important moment in the browser’s history. If you want to see the download activity for Mozilla Firefox 4, visit http://glow.mozilla.org/ and you will see how many people are downloading the browser right this very moment.

What’s new in Firefox 4? It can be summarized in three items: Fast, Sleek, and Customizable. Here’s a video to elaborate more into that:

If you ask me, the very first thing you will notice with Mozilla Firefox 4 is the speed. It loads very quickly and renders complex pages fast. It started with Beta 7 and this speedy trend continues with the official release.

I encourage everyone to support Mozilla Firefox 4. It’s 100% community driven and it won’t be a huge success without the support of the daring web folks. You can show your support by:

  1. Downloading and using Mozilla Firefox 4
  2. Putting these cool badges in your Facebook profile
  3. Adding these nifty banners in your blog or website
  4. Joining the Twitter party and using the #fx4 hashtag

Here in the Philippines, there will be several Mozilla Firefox 4 launch-related events starting April 15, 2011. I’m going ahead and say that the Manila leg will be on April 16, 2011. Special mention to the folks at Globe and Yahoo! Philippines for getting involved in that event.
