MozTour University of Perpetual Help System – Laguna

How can be one not as excited as he can be when you receive an invitation to conduct a Mozilla Campus Tour (MozTour) from a friend whom you haven’t seen in ages? This is what I felt earlier today when we had a MozTour at the University of Perpetual Help System – Laguna, through the invitation of my High School buddy, Mr. Reagan Agramon.

Attended by more than a hundred IT and Engineer students of the university, Team MozillaPH — composed of Mozilla Reps and Firefox Student Ambassadors — successfully delivered a presentation about Mozilla’s advocacy and programs locally.

I started off the MozTour by giving an overview of the organization and what are the current activities of Mozilla locally. Fellow Mozilla Rep (and ReMo Mentee) Ryan Jayson Ermita then followed with his presentation on the Developer Tools bundled with Firefox and an overview of Firefox OS. Mozilla Rep and Team Photo-Documentarist Kemuel Joseph Domanog gave a general overview about the Firefox Student Ambassador (FSA) Program. Capping off the program was Fate Jane Cabag, our awesome FSA from PUP-Sta. Rosa making a demo of Webmaker tools in promotion of education over the Web.

Our sincerest thanks to the administration, faculty and students of the University of Perpetual Help System – Laguna for their warm welcome and hospitality, and for making this MozTour a success. Looking forward in welcoming new Mozillians from this campus soon.
