For the very first time, Team Mozilla Philippines Community conducts a Mozilla Campus Tour (MozTour) in Iloilo City. Located 450 kilometers south of Manila, Iloilo City is a highly urbanized city in Panay Island and is an emerging locale when it comes to ICT (information and Communications Technology) in the country.

We were invited by ABE International Business College – Iloilo City to conduct a MozTour for their IT students under the ABE ICT Organization. Aimed at showcasing Mozilla’s work in promoting the open web and recruitment of Firefox Student Ambassadors, the MozillaPH for this MozTour is comprised of Mozillians from Manila and Bacolod cities:

  2. Kemuel Joseph Domanog [Mozilla Rep, Photo Documentarist]
  3. Frederick Villaluna [Regional Coordinator]
  4. Lenuel Betita [Mozillian Speaker]
  5. Dominique Matus [FSA, Logistics Support]
  6. Lance Patrick Lim [FSA, Logistics Support]

The MozTour kicked off with Bob giving an overview of the Mozilla Project, as well as its products and services in promoting the Open Web.

Mozillian and University Professor Lenuel Betita hopped on stage and gave an exciting overview of the Developer Tools included in the Firefox Developer Edition.

MozillaPH Regional Coordinator Frederick Villaluna presented the ways Mozilla is shaping the future by educating internet users to become webmakers.

Capping off the afternoon of awesome presentations was Mozilla Rep Kemuel Domanog talking about the Firefox Student Ambassadors (FSA).

The best part of Kim’s talk was when he called up on stage two current FSA’s to give their testimonials about the program: Dominique & Lance.
