MozillaPH Localization (L10n) Team Onboarding Goes Online

With the aim of providing better tools and streamline processes to make onboarding new volunteers to the Mozilla Philippines Community (MozillaPH) a better experience, we are opening access to the MozillaPH Learning Server today.

Using an instance of Moodle, the MozillaPH Learning Server will be developing courseware on different areas of contributions to the organization. We are starting this endeavor off with the MozillaPH L10n Team Onboarding course, which is currently on Beta Test.

The onboarding course is designed for people who wish to be part of the localization efforts of MozillaPH. At present, the MozillaPH L10n Team is working on the continued translation of Firefox to Tagalog, as well as projects like Firefox Rocket, Firefox for iOS, and Common Voice.

After completing the online course, participants will be awarded a digital badge. We need your help in testing this particular course. We appreciate all feedback on how we can improve it for future Pinoy Mozillians.

To request access to the MozillaPH Learning Server and take the MozillaPH L10n Team Onboarding course online, you may accomplish this online form:

UPDATE: Free Certificate of Participation

As a reward to all those who will take and finish the online course, they will be eligible to download a Certificate of Participation bearing their name from within the MozillaPH Learning Server.
